OUTLINE OF THE DEPARTMENT

  • It was established in 2000-2001, with an objective of providing quality science education in the conventional areas of sciences with Mathematics and Physics as allied combination with Telugu as medium of instruction with an intake of 60 students
  • In 2005-2006 ,combination of Botany ,Zoology with Chemistry was sanctioned with Telugu as medium of instruction with an intake of 30 students
  • In 2007-2008, combination of Microbiology, Zoology with Chemistry was sanctioned with English as medium of instruction with an intake of 30 students. But it was winded up in 2016-17 due to insufficient admissions.
  • There are 3 sanctioned teaching posts with 58 chemistry students serving for 2 combinations of groups in chemistry undergraduate programme.
  • There is only one, non-teaching post in the department
  • The department has devoted and enthusiastic faculty members actively involving in teaching.
  • We care sincerely for the educational and career development of our student.
