RED RIBBON CLUB
Red Ribbon Club, which is acronymed as RRC, is a movement of the government in the educational institutions to heighten the awareness of the students on HIV/AIDS and voluntary blood donation. The logo of the RRC is Red Ribbon identified by the UNAIDS for its connection to blood and passion. The main motto of the RRC is "prevention is better than cure". This motto prompts the organization to have the following objectives:
1. To create awareness on HIV/AIDS and related STDs
2. To create awareness on voluntary blood donation
3. To remove superstitions and myths on various health related issues
4. To determine the blood group of all the students
5. To screen the staff and needy on hypertension
Activities done in 2022-23:
